Matthew Aaron Presley

Matthew Aaron Presley, age 39 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his home. He was born on December 12, 1984 in Dayton, the son of the late Richard Presley, and his mother Sherry (Phillips) Presley who survives him.

Matthew lived in Dayton and Hixson all of his life. He was a graduate of Sequoyah Vocational High School, and worked at Suburban Manufacturing as a welder. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

In addition to his mother, Sherry (Phillips) Presley of Hixson, Matthew is survived by his fiancé, Allison Panter of Dayton; his four children, Whitney, Cheyenne, Zephaniah and Jebediah Presley, all of Hixson; his brother, Henry Presley of Chattanooga; and his four sisters, Dorothy, Gina and Teresa Presley, all of Chattanooga, and Amie Redden of Spring City.

Funeral services for Matthew will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Matt Johnson officiating. Matthew will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home, where they will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
