Maryanne Stadter

Maryanne Stadter, age 60 of Sale Creek, TN died Sunday August 3, 2008 at her home, while surrounded by her family. Maryanne was born May 1, 1948 in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Sylvia (Grzegorzewski) Kurpiewski.

Maryanne was a resident of Erie, PA until 1974. She then lived in St. Petersburg, FL until moving to Sale Creek, TN in 1991. She was a graduate of the University of South Florida, receiving her degree in psychology. She was an administrative social worker and a realtor while living in Florida.

Maryanne was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy and was very active in her parish. When living in Erie, PA, she was a member of Mt. Calvary Catholic Church and while in St. Petersburg, FL, she attended both St. Rafael’s and St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Maryanne is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mark Stadter, sons Eric (Laura) Stadter of Huntersville, NC and Gary Stadter of GA, daughter Julie Abernathy of Sale Creek, TN, brother Robert Kurpiewski of Bradenton, FL, and grandchildren Keirsten and Mathew Stadter of GA and Ethan and Mark Abernathy of Sale Creek, TN.

The funeral Mass for Maryanne will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Soddy Daisy with Father Mike Creson officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN where they will receive friends Tuesday after 5:00 pm. A prayer service will be held at 8:00 pm.
