Mary Wade Vincent, age 98, of Dayton, passed away early Friday morning, April 5, 2019 at LifeCare of Rhea County. She was born on October 11, 1920 in Old Washington, the daughter of the late George and Cordia (Neal) Wade. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Floyd Vincent.
Mary lived in Old Washington until her 20’s and then moved to Hixson where she remained until returning to Dayton three years ago.
She enjoyed gardening, yard work, canning, quilting and sewing. Mary volunteered at the Hamilton County Nursing Home for many years and was a long time member of the Hixson First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Marilyn) Vincent of Dayton; her daughter, Sharon Vincent of Santa Barbara, CA; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; her sister, Elsie Brinson of Atlanta, GA; and her brother, Don (Dee) Wade of Alabama.
Funeral services for Mary will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Hobbs officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hamilton Memorial Gardens next to her husband Lewis.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Sunday evening after 4:00 p.m. and Monday at 12:00 noon before the service.
