Mary Ann Sugden, age 72 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her home. She was born in St. Petersburg, FL, on August 13, 1950, the daughter of the late Virginia Maxine (Fannin) Byers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edward Sugden; her brother, David Horton; and her grandson, Zach Hamilton.
Mary lived in St. Petersburg, FL, Manistique, MI, and most recently Dayton. She was a homemaker and attended Community Holiness Church in Dayton.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Mike (Christi) Hamilton of Lafayette, GA, Ryan (Nevada) Sugden of Spencer, TN, and Jon O’Berry of Hinesville, GA; her five daughters, Sandie (Joe) Dunn of Dayton, Anna Prater of Dayton, Terri Hamilton of Holiday, FL, Jody Willingham of Pontiac, MI, and Jill O’Berry, of Pontiac, MI; her 23 grandchildren; her 33 great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild; her brother, John Thomas of Inverness, FL; her nephew, Nathan Thomas; and her special friends, Liz and Barbara.
Funeral services for Mary will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Eddie Suttles officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
