Mary Ann (Gann) Shannon

Mary Ann (Gann) Shannon, age 55 of Dayton, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was born in Ooltewah on November 26, 1967, the daughter of the late Walter Gerald Gann and Mattie Lee (Brown) Gann.

Mary attended Chattanooga Central High School and was employed by Dayton Walmart for the last seven years. She loved Harry Potter, Twilight, shopping, hiking, putting puzzles together, watching paranormal programs, and collecting Christmas items.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Mark (Traci) Gann of Dayton and Carlos (Melissa) Gann of Soddy Daisy; her two daughters, Mattie Gann of Bradley County and Sarah Shannon of Rhea County; her eight grandchildren, Logan Clark, Logan Jordan, Jesse Pendergrass, Emmy Gann, Autumn Gann, Riley Gann, Bryson Gann, and Victoria Gann; and her three brothers, Danny Lee (Derenda) Gann of Bryant, AL, Dennis Dewayne Gann of Meigs County, and Walter James Gann of Rhea County.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
