Marguerite Gillespie

Marguerite Gillespie, age 99 of Fort Myers, FL, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Fort Myers. She was born September 21, 1913 in Dayton, TN to the late Sam and Marietta (Walker) Fraley. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wendell Gillespie, brothers Levi, Clay, Ray and Jennings and sisters Delia, Pearl and Mebbie.
Marguerite lived many years in Chattanooga where she owned and operated an egg farm. She moved to Fort Myers in 1975. She was active in her church, the Winkler Road Baptist Church there.
She is survived by her half-brother “Buddy” Garland Fraley of Michigan and several nieces and nephews including her niece and guardian Margie Fulcher of Fort Myers.
Funeral services for Marguerite will be held Sunday at 1:00 p. m. in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Buttram Cemetery.
