Madge Claudine Cross

Madge Claudine Cross age 92 of Maryville died February 26, 2006 in Asbury Place Nursing Home in Maryville, TN. She was born one of ten children in Rhea County February 10, 1914 the daughter of the late Charlie Harrison and Sally Samanthabell (Turner) Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband J.D. Cross and her infant son Donald Dwight Cross.

Madge lived in Rockwood, TN. until 1996 when she moved to Knoxville, TN.
She was a homemaker and loved camping and listening to gospel music at Dollywood.
Madge was a member of Dayton Church of God.

She is survived by her daughter, Weja Walker and son-in-law Steve Speed, grandson, Kenneth “Rocky” and her grand-daughter-in law Cindy Walker, her great-granddaughter, Cierra Walker all of Maryville, brother, Carl Lewis Brooks of Mt. Juliet, sister, Dorothy Chapman of Knoxville.

Funeral Services for Madge will be held Tuesday at 8pm in the funeral home chapel with
Rev. Jewell Travis and Rev. Warren Beavers officiating. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 12:00 Noon in Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Tuesday 5-8pm.
