Lorinda “Rendi” (Harvey) Elser, age 43 of Brayton Mountain, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015. She was born on August 15, 1972 in Pikeville and was preceded in death by her sister Sharon Fuson.
Rendi was a graduate of Bledsoe County High School and was currently employed by Flowers Bakery in Crossville. She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. She was a hard worker and she was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, and friend. Her heart was as big as the mountain that she had loved. She will be deeply missed by all.
Rendi is survived by her husband of twenty- five years, Curtis Elser, her son Donald “Duck” Elser both of Brayton Mountain, step-son Jesse Elser of Chattanooga, her parents, Donald and Flo (Mears) Harvey of Dayton Mountain, her sister Donna Ann Jackson of Pikeville, sister-in-laws, Carolyn (Jesse) Sullivan of Dayton, Valerie (Dudley) Waddle of Myrtle Beach, SC and Cathy (Dewayne) Glandon of Graysville, one brother-in-law, Lewis (Cathy) Elser, II of Chattanooga and father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Lewis (Cindy) Elser, I of Dayton along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Rendi will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ed Hughes officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her sister in Rigsby Cemetery on Wednesday morning at 11:00am.
The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Tuesday after 5:00pm.
