Lola Gentry Ryland, age 77 of Sale Creek, passed away at her home early Tuesday morning, November 10, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Sale Creek January 12, 1938, to the late Erfurt and Illa (Hodge) Gentry. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband James Ryland and seven brothers , Robert Gentry of Soddy Daisy, Erfurt T. Gentry Jr., Arnold Gentry , Harmon (Bo) Gentry, John Gentry ,Ed Gentry, Ernest (Jack) Gentry all of Sale Creek.
She was a lifelong resident of Sale Creek. Lola was of the Baptist faith and when her health allowed she attended Lake Drive Baptist Church.
Lola is survived by her daughter Jamie (Steve) Grant, her son Christopher (Christy) Ryland and one beautiful granddaughter Addison Ryland all of Soddy Daisy. She is also survived by three of the greatest, most precious sisters that anyone could ask for, Imogene Davis of Soddy Daisy, Kelly Gates of Dayton, and Ruth Barrentine of Pisgah, AL.

Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm with Rev. David Haynes and Rev.Ben Barrentine officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton followed by a white dove release.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
