Lois Rapson
Dayton
Lois Jean Rapson, age 80 of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Standifer Place in Chattanooga. She was born September 15th, 1936 in Elkton, MI to the late Ervin and Verda (Krause) Kreh. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Melvin “Bob” Rapson, in addition to her daughter, Sandra Lynn Rapson, and her two brothers, Gerald Kreh and Lyle Kreh.
Lois and her husband became residents of Dayton in 1999, after living in Atlanta, GA for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton.
Lois is survived by her three sons, David (Debra) Rapson of Cumming, GA, Dennis (Gloria) Rapson of Dayton Mtn., and Duane (Stacie) Rapson of Atlanta, GA, in addition to seven grandchildren—Brent Rapson, Bethany Reed, Stephanie Frazier, Ashley Rapson, Ansley Rapson, Shane Rapson, Brandon Rapson. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Lois will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens next to her husband, followed by a white dove release.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in memory of Lois.
