Linda Diane (Wagner) Rouse, age 73 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in Nashville at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West. She was born in Elmira, NY, on May 9, 1948, the daughter of the late George Scott Wagner and Ila Mae (Christian) Wagner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank F. Rouse, Jr.; her sister, Betty Davis; and her granddaughter, Cora Newby.
Linda lived in Dayton since 1984 and retired from TVA Watts Bar after 25 years as an administrative assistant. She attended Grace Bible Church in Dayton.
She is survived by her two sons, Frank (Kay) Rouse III of Roxboro, NC, and John (Tasha) Rouse of Dayton; her two daughters, Robin (Jim) Newby and Jodi (Rev. Tim) Wehse, both of Dayton; her 13 grandchildren; her two brothers, Bill (Mary) Briggs of Corning, NY, and George (Lucille) Wagner of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and her sister, Mary (Bud) Bailey of Dayton.
A Celebration of Life Service for Linda will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church in Dayton with her son-in-law, Rev. Tim Wehse, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church at 12:00 noon before the March 12 service. She has been laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery next to her husband.
