Claudius Leo Henderson age 69 of Dayton Mountain passed away Friday evening, November 3, 2017 in Chattanooga. Leo was born at home on Dayton Mountain on December 28, 1947 the son of the late Rev. Carles and Evelyn (Felts) Henderson. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Junior Henderson, Clyde Henderson and Tommy Henderson.
Leo was the owner and operator of North Dayton Discount Tire. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was an avid gardener and part time farmer.
He is survived by his two sons, Lee Henderson of Dayton Mountain and Jake Henderson of Dayton, five brothers, Carroll (Velma) Henderson of Dayton, Donald (Vanessa) Henderson of Dayton Mountain, Clay (Barbara) Henderson of Dayton, Calvin Henderson of Dayton Mountain, Clifford (Jan) Henderson of Dayton Mountain, three grandchildren, Cody Henderson of Dayton, Dianna Henderson and Julia Henderson both of Dayton Mountain.
Funeral service for Leo will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with his pastor, Rev. Von Dunn officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Summer City Cemetery on Dayton Mountain.
