Laverne Gall, age 94 of Dayton, TN died Saturday morning, January 19, 2013 at her home. Laverne was born in Herculaneum, MO on February 19, 1918 the daughter of the late William Joseph and Bessie Isabel (Clifton) Scaggs.
She was a long time resident of Marion, IL until moving to Dayton, TN in 2006. She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Marion.
Laverne is survived by her daughter, Judy Zimmerman of Spring City, TN, two sons, Mike Jambik of Blaine, MN and Tom Derrow of Hammond, IN, two brothers, Merrell (Frances) Scaggs of Tavaris, FL and Garland (Eva) Horn of Granite City, IL, her sister, Myrna Schoolfield of Laurie, MO, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Laverne will be held Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 pm in the Rosehill Cemetery in Marion, IL with Pastor John Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning after 11:00am at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
