Larry Smith

Larry Dwight Smith age 47 of Evensville, TN., died Thursday August 24, 2006 in Erlanger Hospital. He was born in Rhea County May 6, 1959 the son of the late Samuel Carroll Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Smith.

Larry lived in Rhea County all his life where he was a graduate of Rhea County High class of 1977. He was employed by Kayser Roth as a Sewing Machine Technician for 22 years. Larry also enjoyed helping others, riding four wheelers and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother Thelma Novella (Smith) Smith of Evensville, TN., his son Anthony (Crystal) Smith of Evensville, TN., his daughter, Lynn (Adam) Ballard of Dayton, TN., three grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Emma Ballard and Eli Ballard, his brother, J.C. (Dot) Smith of Evensville, TN., and sisters, Janie (Dean) Pritchett of McDonough, GA., Mary (Chuck) Kelly of Rockwood, TN., and Sue (Tony) Potter of Dayton.

Funeral services for Larry will be held Saturday at 12pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Vitatoe, Rev. Rick Kirkland, Rev. Aaron Revis and Rev. Jimmy Talley officiating. Burial will be in Ad Smith Cemetery in Spring City followed by a white dove release.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday 6-9pm.
