Obituary

Kirk Louis Webb age 83, a native of Rising Sun, MD, and a longtime resident of Spring City, TN, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of honor, strength, sacrifice, and devotion to family and country.

Kirk proudly served his nation as a member of the 1st Infantry Division in the United States Army (Big Red One 1966-1967, 82nd Airborne upon returning to the U.S.) answering the call to duty with courage and humility during a difficult chapter in American history where he was awarded a Bronze Star, Army Air Medal and Combat Infantry Badge w/wreath along with other recognition for his service, he carried the values of loyalty, discipline, and patriotism throughout every part of his life. He remained deeply proud of his fellow veterans and the bonds forged through service to his country.

Following his military service, Kirk returned home and dedicated himself to building a life centered on hard work and family. Using the same determination and steady hands that serviced him in the military, he became known for building handcrafted log cabin homes throughout the Southeast. Each cabin stood as a reflection of the man himself-strong, dependable, and built to last.

Beyond his service and craftsmanship, Kirk was a devoted husband to Patricia Webb and a proud father to Matthew Sachs. He led his family with quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering love. He taught by example, showing the value of honesty, perseverance, and commitment to others.

He will be remembered for his patriotism, his work ethic, his deep respect for country and family, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Sachs; his brother, Howard Webb; and his sister, MaryLou Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Webb; his mother, Matilda Webb; his father, Claude H. Webb; and his sister, Lucille Marie Perkins.
