Kimberly Renee Wilkey, age 51 of Dayton caught a glimpse of heaven and chose to go home Friday night, August 2, 2013. She was born February 7, 1962 in Dayton to Rev. Thomas R. and Ruby (Revis) Wilkey. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Earl and Minnie (Page) Wilkey and Harry and Dora (Barley) Revis.
A lifelong resident of Dayton, Kim was a graduate of Rhea County High School Class of 1980. At the age of 16, she became a catering truck driver for T & R Catering. She was well known by the Dayton manufacturing companies and businesses. She was a founding member of the Ekklesia Bible Tabernacle. She loved her cats and dogs and was an avid country music fan.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister Beverly (Rev. Mack) Louallen and brother Thomas “Skipper” (Pattie) Wilkey all of Dayton, nieces and nephews Lora Blevins Ennis, Thomas Sloan Wilkey, III, and Jonathan Louallen, great- nieces Kierstyn Wilkey, Lora Wilkey and Reagan Louallen , great-nephew Tre’ Ennis, stepson Georgie LeMay and her two lifelong best friends Karla Graham and Barbara Aiken.
Funeral services for Kim will be held Monday evening at 7:00 p m in the funeral home chapel with her brother-in-law Pastor Mack Louallen and her uncle Arthur J. Mincey officiating. She will be laid to rest Tuesday morning at 11:00 a m at Rhea Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers are Sloan Wilkey, Jonathan Louallen, Rusty Wilkey, Wayne Matthew, Rusty Revis and Scotty Revis.
