Dr. Ker Clive Gilmore Thomson, age 89 passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton. He was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 2, 1928.
Dr. Thomson lived the last 30 years in Dayton. He received his BS at the University of British Columbia and his Doctorate at the Colorado School of Mines. He was a Geophysicist and was a professor of the Sciences at Bryan College. Dr. Thomson was also a member of Grace Bible Church and the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Grace (Self) Thomson of Dayton, two sons Dr. David Thomson of Toronto, Ontario, Dr. Clive Thomson of Brownsville TX, two sisters, Ruth Thomson of Brazil and Edith Short of Ontario, Canada and five grandchildren, Sebastian, Liam, David, Michael and Dawn.
Funeral service for Dr. Thomson will be held at Grace Bible Church Thursday at 12:00 noon with his pastor Rev. David Hobbs officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
