Kenneth Eugene Robinson, age 78 of Evensville, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his home. He was born in Evensville on July 13, 1944 to the late Ernest L. and Norma L. (Rankin) Robinson. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Robinson.
Ken was a lifelong resident of Evensville. He graduated from Rhea Central High School in the class of 1962, he also graduated from Tennessee Temple with a degree in Theology. He worked as a cross-country semi-truck driver for 40 years, was a former Auxiliary Rhea County Sheriff Deputy, and volunteered with Homeland Security. Ken had a second-degree black belt in martial arts, and was an avid drag racing driver for 60 years. Ken was of Baptist faith.
Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years, Iris L. (King) Robinson of Evensville; his four children, son Danny (Terri) Robinson of Soddy Daisy, daughter Julia McKay of Hixson, son Dwayne (Monica) Robinson of Dayton, and daughter Jennifer (Billy) Cranfield of Crystal River, FL; his nine grandchildren, and his nine great-grandchildren; his siblings, brother Tom Robinson of Clarksville, brother Joe Robinson of Dayton, brother David Robinson of Dayton, brother Charlie Robinson of Chattanooga, brother Ernie (Helen) Robinson of Spring City, and sister Shirley (John) Alderman of Dayton; and several nephews and nieces.
He will be laid to rest following the visitation with a family graveside service in Rhea Memory Gardens.
