Kenneth Barry Matthews age 45 of Soddy Daisy died Monday April 9, 2007 in his home.
He was born February 20, 1962 in Jackson, MS.
He lived most of his life in Hamilton and Rhea Counties and retired as a Staff Sergeant with the USMC. After his retirement with the USMC he worked with Middle Tennessee Gas Company in Dayton as the office manager.
He is survived by his wife Whit (Briscoe) Matthews, his four daughters,
Kellett, Catron, Cantrelle and Cole Matthews all of Dayton, his parents, Jesse and Gwendolyn (Cole) Matthews of Jackson, MS, his sister, Donna Cummings of Reno, NV, four brothers, Alan Matthews of Memphis, Print Matthews of Brandon, MS, Brett Matthews of Ridgeland, MS and Keith Matthews of Dallas, TX.
Graveside services for Kenneth will be held Friday at 11am in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday 6-8pm.
