In Loving Memory of Dennis “Keith” Mickel
Keith was the life of the party, with a larger-than-life personality and a contagious happiness.
Dennis “Keith” Mickel, age 68, passed away on October 11, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Keith was of the Catholic faith and truly one of a kind. With a larger-than-life personality and a contagious happiness, he was the life of the party. He loved to sing, dance, and make those around him laugh. His energy was unmatched, and being around him was an experience all its own.
For more than 30 years, Keith dedicated his life to being a hairdresser. His greatest gift went far beyond making people look beautiful. He had a special way of making others feel beautiful, valued, and confident, helping them see the best in themselves.
Above all, Keith was a devoted father to his daughter, Meredith. Their bond was one of a kind, filled with unconditional love, laughter, and a friendship that went far beyond father and daughter. From their unforgettable car concerts, singing at the top of their lungs, to the simplest moments together, he gave her memories she will treasure forever. He was her best friend, and she was his. He was her greatest comfort, and they had a love that even death could never take away.
He had a special way of making others feel beautiful, valued, and confident, helping them see the best in themselves.
Keith is survived by his daughter, Meredith Kate Mickel; his daughter’s mother, Catherine Morgan; his brother, Joey Mickel; his sister, Debra (Bill) Chamberlain; his nephews, Kenneth (Nancy) Mickel, Shaun Mickel, and Chris (Tammi) Mickel; his nieces, Jessica (Seth) Jolley and Tanika Mickel; his great-nieces and great-nephews; and many beloved friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Fogle Darr; his brother, Kenneth Mickel; and his beloved partner, Gregory Snyder.
Keith’s legacy will forever live on through the confidence he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless hearts he touched.
A funeral service for Keith will be held in the chapel at Vanderwall Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rhea Memory Gardens.
