Katie Marie McCollum, age 86, of Dayton died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at her home. Katie was born June 23, 1923 in Sale Creek, TN to the late Tom and Sarah (Poe) McCollum. She was also proceded in death by her husband Marvin E. McCollum.
She is survived by her son Johnny McCollum of Dayton, TN and daughter Sarah Simpson of Evensville, TN, two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Katie will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at the Buttram Cemetery in Dayton with Rev. Carroll Henderson officiating.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN.
