Kathryn Ann Mcclain

Kathryn Ann McClain, age 84, of Soddy Daisy, died Friday morning, April 19, 2013 at her home. She was born December 2, 1928 in Meigs County to the late Oscar and Maude (Pogue) Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Roberts and Clyde Roberts.
Kathryn lived in Rhea County until 1955 at which time she moved to Long Beach, CA. until returning to Tennessee in 2004. She had been employed with Brock Candy Company for several years and was a cake decorator and also a member of the Precious Moments Club. While in California she was a member of the Orangewood Baptist Church and while in Tennessee she was a member of the New Union Baptist Church and the Bakewell Bible Church.
She is survived by her son Alan (Judy) McClain, her grandson Ryan McClain and granddaughter Katie McClain all of Lake Forest, CA, two sisters, Lora Belle Bean of Soddy Daisy and Dot (Ronald) Welch of Bakewell, sister-in-laws, Jo Holland and Betty Bradford both of Rhea County, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Kathryn will be held Monday at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Danny Reuhling officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton, TN.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN where they will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.
