Kate Mariane Losey

Kate Mariane Losey, age 96 of Dayton, passed away at Life Care of Rhea County on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Karl and Margit (Akselsen) Wilhelmsen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Losey.

Kate called New York home before relocating to Dayton in 2001. During her time there, she drove a school bus, was an active member of the Red Hatters and Sons of Norway, and had a passion for crafting.

Kate is survived by her daughters, Karen (Jeff) West of Dayton and Alicia Krebs of Nesconset, New York; her sons, Kenneth (Anita) Armstrong of King George, Virginia, and Leonard Krebs of Lake Grove, New York; her ten grandchildren, and her 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services for Kate at this time.
