Julia Kathleen Perkinson

Julia Kathleen Perkinson, age 90, of Dayton died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at her home. She was born March 20, 1919 in Spring City, TN to the late Otha and Clara (Barger) McGann. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph “Luke” Perkinson, brother C.B. McGann of Nashville, TN, sister Genevieve Cooley of Athens, TN and grandson Jeffrey Lynn Perkinson.

Kay was a homemaker and a member of the Walnut Grove Full Gospel Church. She is survived by her son J.L. Perkinson, Jr. of Chattanooga, her daughter JoAnna (Paul) Byrd of Dayton, brother O.W. “Mac” McGann, Jr. of Decatur, TN, sister Bernice Tidwell of Decatur, granddaughter Dewanna Kay (Wayne) Laning of York, PA, and great-grandchildren Seth, Emma Kay and Luke Laning of York, PA.

Funeral services for Kay will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eddie Suttles officiating. Burial will be in the Rhea Memory Gardens.
