Julia Turrubiates age 83 of Dayton, TN and formerly of Waupaca, WI died at her home Monday, January 19, 2015. She was born in Mexico the daughter of the late Isidrio Ledesma and Guadalupe (Perez) Ledesma and was also preceded in death by her husband, Genaro Turrubiates, Sr.
She was a long time resident of Waupaca until moving to Tennessee in 2006. Julia was raised a Catholic but became a Pentecostal Christian. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and loved her family.
She is survived by her five daughters, Rosa (Efrain) Turrubiates of AZ, Jane (Jose Luis) Martinez of CA, Maria (Bruce) Klepps of Dayton, TN, Julie (Papo) Morales of NC, and Lisa Turrubiates of Cleveland, TN, six sons, Bob (Leanne) Turrubiates, Raul Turrubiates, Jose (Donna) Turrubiates and Arthur (Alamar) Turrubiates all of Waupaca, WI, Genaro (Denise) Turrubiates, Jr. of AZ and Michael (Ralph) Turrubiates of Graysville, TN. Julia is also survived by her two sisters, Vivian Avil and Nellie (Robert) Hernandes, two brothers, Tony Ledesma and Diego (Velma) Ledesma all of TX along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Julia will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00pm in the Waupaca (WI) Assembly of God Church where the family will receive friends one hour before her funeral. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Lind Center Cemetery in Waupaca.
