Joyce Marie Strilka, age 86 of Johnson City, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Remember Me Senior Care in Cleveland, TN. She was born in Binghamton, NY on December 5, 1937, the daughter of the late Nickolas and Mary (Murin) Dino.
Joyce was a model for Drazen’s House of Fashion. She also was employed at Binghamton Savings Bank, was a religious education teacher at church, and retired as secretary to the sheriff of Broome County. She enjoyed volunteering at Nearly New Shop in NY, and singing in the church choir. She was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church in Binghamton, NY.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Dino of Houston, TX; step-daughter, Renee (Don) Cahill of Birchwood, TN; her step-son, Robert W. (Debbie) Strilka of Binghamton, NY; her three grandchildren, Lauren (Morgan) Linkenauger of Williamsburg, VA, Jenni (Mike) Sheddan of Dayton, TN, and Tom Strilka of Binghamton, NY; and her four great-grandsons.
A graveside service for Joyce will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City, NY, on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband of 52 years.
