John Adam “Pilgrim” Osborne, age 66 of Dayton died Wednesday August 26, 2009 at Parkridge in Chattanooga. He was born June 26, 1943 in Weehawken, NJ, the son of the late Clyde Osborne and Mae (Chiamese) Osborne. He was also preceded in death by his wife Anna Lee (Dills) Osborne and daughter Teresa Daniel.
John lived in Jasper, GA for many years before moving to Dayton in 2000. He was the former owner of Associated Air in Jasper. He enjoyed golf and restoring antique vehicles. He served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Greenland.
John is survived by his four daughters, Ann (Gerald) Hammontree of Tunnel Hill, GA, Karen (Ken) Boring of Naples, FL, Michelle (Jeff) Holloway of Ellijay, GA and Sonji (Chris) Romine of Jasper, GA, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for “Pilgrim” will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Rhea Memory Gardens, followed by a white dove release.
