Johnny Louallen

August 31, 1932 — July 3, 2015

Johnny Filmore Louallen age 82 of Dayton went to be with his Jesus Friday afternoon, July 3, 2015 at his home. Johnny was born in Rhea County on August 31, 1932 the son of the late Ace Mack Louallen and Florence (Walker) Louallen and his step-mother Molly (Johnson) Louallen.
Johnny lived all of his life in Rhea County where he retired as a professional residential painter. He enjoyed collecting old coins and VOLS memorabilia. He was a member of Solomon’s Porch Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Mayor Gary (Bonnie) Louallen and Pastor Mack (Pastor Beverly) Louallen both of Dayton, his brother, Tom Louallen of Graysville, two sisters, Edwina Farmer and Geraldine (Leroy) Filyaw both of Dayton, three grandchildren, Melissa (Scott) Gravitt, Amy Louallen Stinnett and Jonathan (Jennifer) Louallen, four great-grandchildren, Jackson Gravitt, McKenzie Gravitt, Reagan Louallen and Abby Stinnett. He is also survived by step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Pat, Jeff, Ryan, Cinnamon and Amanda Skinner and Ally (Montana) Grace and Olivia Grace.
Funeral services for Johnny will be held Monday evening at 6:00pm in the funeral home chapel with his sons officiating. He will be laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery.
The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Monday after 3:30 pm.
