John Edward Sampson, age 68, of Dayton died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Rhea Medical Center. John was born March 27, 1941 in Miami, FL, the son of the late Adelbert and Consuela (Calafell) Sampson.
John is survived by his wife Ann (Scarcella) Sampson, step-daughter Janet D’Esposito of NJ, two step-grandchildren, brother Anthony Sampson of Miami, FL, and sister Frances Sampson of Melbourne, FL.
John was a resident of Miami – Broward County until moving to Dayton in 1992. He was a member of St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Dayton.
A memorial mass will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Sam Sturm as celebrant.
