John Byron Roden

John Byron Roden age 63 of Dayton, TN died early Sunday morning September 14, 2014 in Chattanooga. He was born and raised in Sheffield, AL and was a graduate of the Sheffield High School class of 1968.
A resident of Dayton since 1990, John retired from TVA as an operations superintendent in 2005. He was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmer and Grace (Blankenship) Roden Atchley.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Janie “Lynn” (Springman) Roden of Dayton, his daughter, Lindsay Roden of Chattanooga, his brother, D.D. (Debbie) Atchley of Florence, AL, sister, Debbi (Larry) Gazzini of Birmingham, AL and his special cousin, Jill (Ty) Smith of Guntersville, AL.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN where they will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 3:00pm until 6:00pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga to be used for patient comfort in the oncology unit.
