Larry Joe Yearwood, age 76, of Dayton, formerly of Sale Creek, died Thursday evening, September 20, 2018 at Erlanger Medical in Chattanooga. He was born November 30, 1941 in Madisonville. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Ersa (Watson) Yearwood, and his brother Dennis Yearwood.

Joe lived in Sale Creek for many years until moving to Dayton for the next 50 years. He retired as a truck driver from the State of Tennessee & Rhea Co. Joe loved hunting, picking at children and he was of the Church of God faith.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Margaret (Mickel) Yearwood of Dayton; son Jonathan Mickel of GA; sister Brenda (Bobby) Wilson of Dayton; brother Gary Yearwood of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren Colby Mickel and Layla Mickel.

Funeral services for Joe will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Sneed officiating. He will be laid to rest at Buttram Cemetery in Dayton.
