Joe Dickson Corlew, age 83, of Dayton died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Chattanooga. He was born August 21, 1929 in Charlotte, TN to the late William Parks and Thelma (Loggins) Corlew. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sarah Ann (Mize) Corlew.
A resident of Dayton for the past 25 years, he retired from Dupont as a lab technician. He was a member of the Masons and he enjoyed fishing. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his son Joe C. (Tama) Corlew of Cleveland, two daughters Marcy (Ray) Epps of Houston, TX and Tracy (Steve) Clift of Dayton, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services with military honors will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Herrell officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
