Jo Alice Stultz, age 104 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at The Veranda at Life Care of Rhea County. She was born on June 14, 1918, in Rising Fawn, GA, the daughter of Sam and Josephine (Grayson) Pryor. She was also preceded in death in 1990 by her husband, Hubert F. Stultz; her two brothers, Gene Pryor and Sam Pryor; and her daughter-in-law, Jane Stultz.
Jo Alice lived in Sale Creek until 1980 when she moved to Dayton. She was a graduate of Sale Creek High School and McKenzie Business College. She was a homemaker, volunteered as a Gray Lady at Rhea Medical Center, and was a volunteer at The Care Center in Dayton. She was a life-long member of Sale Creek Presbyterian Church.
Jo Alice is survived by her three sons, Eric (Carolyn) Stultz and Neal (Martha Jo) Stultz, both of Dayton, and Robert (Connie) Stultz of Greenwood, SC; her two daughters, Laura (Jerry) Fine of Dayton and Jill Thompson of Bowling Green, KY; her five grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; and her two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jo Alice will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Phil Evaul and Rev. Bob Schafer officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens next to her husband.
