Jimmy Charles Simpson, Sr., age 68, of Dayton, died Monday, May 28, 2012 at his home. He was born April 30, 1944 in Spring City, TN to the late Wallace and Nell (Smith) Simpson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy May (Houston) Simpson, son Stanley Lee Simpson, daughters Patricia May Simpson and Dorothy Ann Simpson, brothers Alvin Dean Simpson and Leroy Simpson and sisters Leona Farmer and Ora Kendall.
He was a commercial painter and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons Jimmy (Alissa) Simpson, Jr. and Johnny Ray (Angela) Simpson, both of Dayton, brothers Gary (Jan) Simpson and Jerry Simpson of Spring City and sister Carole Brown of Spring City.

A memorial service is planned for a later date. The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
