Jessie Mae Davis

Jessie Mae (Floyd) Davis, age 73 of Chattanooga passed Monday afternoon, December 3, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center. She was born on September 6, 1939 in Alabama to the late Leroy and Susie (McGuire) Floyd.
A long time resident of Chattanooga, Jessie was a graduate of McKenzie College and had been employed by Combustion Credit Union and then she became the owner of Scrub’s Cleaning Service in Chattanooga. She was a member of Tucker Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Eddie ( Jamie) Davis, Jr. of Dayton, her daughter, Edwina (Tim) Maddox of Kennesaw, GA, four grandchildren, Edee Davis, Eddie Davis III, Kira Davis and Timothy Dean Maddox, II and one great-grandson, Kenzlee Davis.
Funeral services for Jessie will be held Friday evening at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Henderson officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Rhea Memory Gardens on Saturday at 12:00 noon.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday one hour before the funeral.
