Jerry Mack “Bud” Douglas age 69 of Dayton died unexpectedly Monday morning, August 23, 2010 in Rhea Medical Center. Jerry Mack was born in Dayton on January 14, 1941 the son of the late Roy Roscoe Douglas and Catherine (Dillard) Douglas Cook. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stephanie Powell, brothers, Roy Douglas and Melvin Douglas and his ½ sister Sheila Ann. He was a lifelong resident of Dayton where he worked as a carpenter.
Bud is survived by his wife of 50 years, Glenda (Cox) Douglas of Dayton, three sons, Jerry Douglas, Jr. and Ronnie Douglas both of Dayton and James Douglas of Evensville, two daughters, Janie Douglas and Reva Prater both of Dayton, his two brothers, Gilbert Douglas and Gene Douglas and his sister Mildred Hale all of Dayton, half-sisters, Linda, Glenda, Wanda and Zella, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Jerry Mack will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. He will be laid to rest in Spivey Cemetery in Dayton.
