J.D. McDonald, age 81 of Grandview, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at his home. He was born November 2, 1928, in Morristown, TN, the son of the late William and Rosa Mae (Welch) McDonald.
J.D. lived in Grandview since 2004 and had been a baker by profession.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Emily (Cox) McDonald, daughters Barbara Simpson of Chattanooga, TN and Mary Juliet of Morristown, TN, brother Eddie Ricker and sister Patsy Kimsey, both of Morristown, sister Lorraine of Florida, three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for J.D. were held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Phil officiating. Burial was in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.
