James Cleaver “JC” Aslinger, age 78 of Sale Creek died at his home Saturday morning October 27, 2012. JC was born in Sale Creek on January 28, 1934 the son of the late Andrew and Minnie (Jordan) Aslinger. He was also preceded in death by his wife Joyce Aslinger, his son, Brian Aslinger, two brothers, Raymond and Drewie Aslinger and his two sisters, Mavis Salmon and Sylvia Hodge.
JC was a graduate of Sale Creek High School, class of 1952 and had been employed as an insurance salesman and then as an auto salesman. He was of the Baptist faith and was a Mason.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Rhonda Dixon of Ooltewah, two sisters, Violet Carpenter and Vivian Haynes both of East Ridge, his brother Leland Aslinger of Soddy and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for JC will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Barry Purser officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his son Brian in Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Monday from 3:00pm until 6:00pm.
