James Steel

James Harold Steel, age 50 of Graysville died Sunday, February 3, 2008 in Rhea Medical Center. James was born in Dayton, TN on January 18, 1958 the son of the late Granville and Betty Jo (McDonald) Steel. He was a life long resident of Rhea County and had been employed with IAC (Lear Corp) for 32 years. James was a member of the Sale Creek First Baptist Church and enjoyed computers and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Glenna (Francisco) Steel of Graysville, two daughters, Lisa (Rocky) Morrison and Stacy Steel both of Dayton, his sister, Mary Francis Smith of Graysville, brother, Lee Roy Steel of Dayton, two grandchildren, Gavin and Maelee Morrison of Dayton, step-children, Eddie Clark, Jeremy Doss and Michelle (Mikey) Roddy all of Graysville, step-grandchildren, Ethan and Cord Houston both of Graysville, and his nieces and nephews, Waynette (Andrew) Smith and Lauri Steel both of Dayton, Donnie Smith and Jimmy Smith both of Graysville.

Funeral services for James will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with his pastor, Rev. Paul Stuart officiating. Burial will be next to his father in Smyrna Cemetery followed by a white dove release.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Tuesday from 3pm until 8pm.
