James Scoggins

James Thomas Scoggins age 72 of Harrison died Sunday morning, April 26, 2009 at the Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland. Jim was born at home in Birchwood on October 31, 1936 the son of the late Charlie and Rachael (Winnie) Scoggins.
He was a long time resident of Birchwood and Harrison until moving to Lewis Chapel Mountain several years ago. He was a member of the Ware Branch Church of Christ in Harrison.
He is survived by his sister, Alta Hall of Dayton, four brothers, Virgil Scoggins of Hixson, Ronald Scoggins of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Charles “Sam” Scoggins of Dayton, Sanford Scoggins of Harrison, half-brother, Walter Scoggins of Knoxville, half-sister, Katherine Blevins of Chattanooga and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 4:00pm in the Scoggins Family Cemetery in Harrison with Minister Bill Mathis and Rev. Ernest Sutton officiating.
