James Carl Roberts, Jr., age 71 of Sale Creek died Wednesday morning, April 03, 2013 at his home. He was born August 29, 1941 in Chattanooga, TN.
A resident of Sale Creek and Dayton all his life, he was a machinist with area tool & die makers. He was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by his mother, Ovella (Holmes) Roberts Hyche, two sons, Harold Roberts of Sale Creek and Josh Roberts of Georgia, two daughters, Kathy Rymer and Cindy (Luther) Roberts, both of Cleveland, three brothers, Raymond (Barbara) Roberts of Soddy Daisy, Thomas Roberts of Sale Creek, and Charles (Marilyn) Roberts of Soddy Daisy, five sisters, Marie Harvey, Lois (Bob) Bock, Helen (Kenneth) Hodge, all of Sale Creek, Doris (Jim) Smith, and Rebecca (Frank) Stilwell, both of Dayton, special friend, Karla Uptain of Soddy Daisy, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Roberts, Sr.
He will be laid to rest in the Welch-Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek, Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
