James Edward Nalley age 72 of Dayton passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center. Jim was born in Chattanooga on July 15, 1945, the son of the late Claude Nalley, Patty Wilson and Ruby Morgan who adopted and raised him.
Jim lived most of his life in Dayton where he worked in textiles at Dixie Yarns as a Personel Manager for 45 years. He loved golf, served with the Army National Guard and was a member Cranmore Cove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda (Brooks) Nalley of Dayton, sister Sherron Cowart of Rainsville, AL., a special nephew Joshua Bunch of Dayton and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jim will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bobby Schafer and Pastor David Haynes officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
