James Franklin Morrow, age 92, of Evensville died Friday morning, April 6, 2018 at his home. He was born February 6, 1926 in Evensville to the late Charles Chester and Eula Mae (Sneed) Morrow. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy (McMillon) Morrow; his step-mother Audrey Morrow; his brothers: John Morrow, Robert Morrow, Robert Cordell and Herbert Cordell; his sisters, Mildred Day, Fayrene Wilkey and Merlie Fairchild; two grandchildren, Timothy Morrow and Beth Nixon.
Jim was a resident of Evensville for many years. He was a high school graduate of Rhea Central High School Class of 1944. He served his country during WWII at the Battle of the Bulge as a Staff Sargeant in the US Army. He retired as a Southern Railroad Division Engineer after 30 years. He was a Shriner, deer hunter, farmer and enjoyed golf and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Evensville.
He is survived by his three sons Butch (Bonnie) Morrow of Evensville, Harold (Dimples) Morrow of Spring City and Greg (Anita) Morrow of Enterprise, MS; three daughters: Linda Morrow of Evensville, JoJo (Joe) Nixon of Seneca, SC and Nancie (Michael) Sellers of Menlo, GA; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; his brother Tommy Morrow of Dayton, his sisters: Ruth Mickel, Jamie (Ray) Arnold, Phoebe Frazier, Wanda (Bobby) Garrison and Trit (Butch) Majors all of Dayton, Peggy Crawley and Lorene Porter both of Chattanooga.
Funeral services for Jim will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Rogers officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville with Military Honors.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive family and friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
