Jackie Ray Dodd, age 54 of Dayton, TN and most recently of Hortense, GA died suddenly at his home early Saturday morning July 28, 2007. Jackie was born in Dayton on August 13, 1952 the son of the late Rev. Edward and Imogene (Colbaugh) Dodd.
Jackie was a graduate of Rhea Central High School, class of 1970 and worked all of his life as a carpenter. He lived in Dayton until moving to the Augusta, GA area in 2002.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Tresa Altizer Dodd of Hortense, GA, his brother Jerry (Susan) Dodd of Dayton, his sister Deloris (Mike) Knox of Graysville and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Jackie will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow next to his parents in Rhea Memory Gardens.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00pm.
