Jack Walden

April 5, 1941 — August 2, 2022

Jack Walden, age 81 of Spring City, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Rhea Medical Center. He was born in Decatur on April 5, 1941, the son of the late Roy Travis Walden and Beulah Lee (Pritchett) Walden.

Jack lived in Spring City for the past 43 years and retired from Shipley Basket Factory. He enjoyed mowing his grass, fishing and attended Bogles Chapel.

Jack is survived by his wife Wanda (Daniels) Walden; his three children, son Jack Walden Jr., daughters Jane Walden and Vickie (Douglas) Smith all of Stockbridge, GA; his five grandchildren Lynna (Derrick) Anderson of Griffin, GA, Bradley Walden, Harold Smith, Davis (Aiza) Smith, Steven Smith all of Stockbridge, GA; his great-granddaughter Aliza Smith; his three step-children, Bobby Joe (Gracie) Reed of Dayton, Tony Reed Jr. of Tulsa, OK, and Barbara Gail Baker of Spring City.

Funeral services for Jack will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. He will be laid to rest in Add Smith Cemetery in Spring City.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, where they will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
