Jack Reed

John “Jack” Malcolm Reed age 79 of Dayton died early Sunday morning July 27, 2014 in Dayton. Jack was born in Adrian, MI on May 7, 1935 the son of the late John Arthur and Eleanor (Miller) Reed. He was also preceded in death by his sister Deborah Rohroback and his brother Roger Reed.
Jack was a resident of Adrian, MI until moving to Dayton in 1998. He served his country with the US Army during the Korean War and had been employed as a newspaper deliveryman for many years. He was of the Nazarene faith and loved his dogs and yard work.
He is survived by his five sisters, Patricia Brownfield of Soddy Daisy, Mary Ann (Robert) English of Sherwood, OH, Andrea (Norman) Retter of Blissfield, MI, Delores Reed of Blissfield, MI and Risa Lester of Valley View, TX, his brother, Tom (Peggy) Reed of Adrian, MI and numerous nephews and nieces.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held Tuesday afternoon at 12:30pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. David Hobbs officiating.
