Imogene Hendrick, age 68, of Dayton Mountain, died early Thursday morning, November 29, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 8, 1950 in Pikeville to the late Joe and Velma (Simmons) Holland.
She was a Bledsoe County High School graduate Class of 1968. For many years she was employed with the Continental Car Club in Dayton. She loved to visit Pigeon Forge and play dominoes. Imogene was a member of the Walden’s Ridge Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the children’s ministries including AWANA, junior church, teaching Sunday school and she was responsible for the church bulletin. Her family and her church were her life.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harold Hendrick of Dayton Mountain; two children, Amy (Preston) Hale and Matthew (Cheryl) Hendrick; grandchildren, Faith Victoria Hale, Ethan Matthew Hale and Jonah Dane Hendrick all of Dayton; brother, Jerry (Carol) Holland and sister, Joyce (Wendell) Hughes both of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Imogene will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Walden’s Ridge Baptist Church with her pastor, Rev. Jerry Levengood officiating. Imogene will be laid to rest in Morgan Springs Cemetery on Dayton Mountain followed by a white dove release.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive family and friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She will lie in state at the church one hour before the service.
