Ila Cranfill

Ila Cranfill age 91 of Dayton died Thursday April 13, 2006 in her home.
She was born June 30, 1914 in Preston, AL., the daughter of the late
Gurley and Margrett (Chandler) Benson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Cranfill and her children, Barbara Sinclair, Robert G. Cranfill and Walter W. Cranfill.

Ila lived in Dayton most of her life where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and a member of The Ogden Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by her four daughters, Annie Case, Betty Stroub and Zella Cranfill all of Dayton and Kathy Aslinger of Soddy Daisy, two sons, James David Cranfill and Lee Roy Cranfill both of Dayton, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.


Funeral services for Ila will be held Saturday at 2pm in the Ogden Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Jewell, Rev. Alan Winkler and Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Ila will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery
followed by a white dove release.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday 4-9pm.
