Hope Brown Nelson, age 61, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on January 9, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center. She was born on November 10, 1956 in Chattanooga to the late Bobby Smith and Mary Louise Perry. She was also preceded in death by her twin children, Chris and Tina Johnson.
Hope was a seamstress in the area textile mills. Her hobbies were sewing and crafts. She was a volunteer at Sequoyah Valley Head Start.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (fiancee, Mike Boles) Robinson and Crystal Tankersley, both of Dayton; sisters, Rose Ann Gravitt and Ruby Adame, both of Soddy-Daisy; brother James (Lisa) Smith of Ten Mile; grandchildren, Christina Robinson, Dylan Robinson, Jayden Tankersley and Paxton Tankersley; great-grandchildren, Kiana, Devon, Brae Lynn, and Kaylee Robinson, all of Dayton and her dear friend, Suzie Davis of Soddy-Daisy.
Funeral services for Hope will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Vernon Davis officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her children in Rhea Memory Gardens.
