Helmi Newberg, age 89 of Dayton, TN died Thursday October 7, 2010 at Rhea Medical Center. She was born November 12, 1921 in Townsend, MA to the late Rudolph and Ellin Marie Arvidson Immonen.
Helmi was a resident of Dayton for many years and was retired as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Graysville Seventh Day Adventist church.
Helmi is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Newberg of Dayton Mountain, her sister Jean (Jim) Sinclair of Dayton Mountain and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday at 5:00 pm at the Ogden Cemetery on Dayton Mountain with Pastor Don Richards officiating. The family will receive friends graveside at 4:30 Sunday prior to the service.
